Have a Question For Us?
How do I book a tour?
Simply click on the ‘Book Now’ button at the top of our website to check availability and book your selected tour date.
Can I book a private tour?
Yes, private group tours are available by request, please email our team at info@wineandwandering.com to check availability and pricing.
Do I have to purchase my ticket in advance?
Our group sizes are limited to ensure a personal experience. While there may be day-of availability, we recommend purchasing your tickets in advance to avoid disappointment if we sell out.
How long does the tour take?
The tour starts promptly at 1pm and lasts approximately 2.5 - 3 hours. This leaves you sufficient time to revisit one or two of your favorite tasting rooms!
How many wine tastings are included in the tour?
You’ll get to taste three different wines at each stop on the tour. At each location, you will get to know the wines, their provenance, climates and what makes each winery so unique. There will be stories of history and viticulture. Don’t worry - there won’t be a test at the end!
Is there any food included in the tour?
While food isn’t included in the tour, our seasoned local guides can make countless restaurant recommendations after the tour concludes. We certainly recommend you have lunch before joining us.
Can children come on the tour?
While they can’t be served alcohol of course, children are welcome to attend. We would caution that given the tour content and the educational nature of the tour, it might not be ideal for younger children however. All tour participants over 12 years of age will be required to purchase a ticket to attend. Non-alcoholic beverages are provided for our younger guests at each tasting room, too. Please specify if children are part of your group when booking so we can make sure they’re well catered for!
Can we bring our dog?
Carmel is well-known for its love of dogs of all kinds and sizes. However, please ensure that your dog is comfortable around us humans and other pooches. All throughout Carmel, businesses have doggie water bowls outside. Please ensure to bring your poop-bags!
What should I wear for the tour?
We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and shoes for walking. Please make sure you check the forecast and come prepared - our tours happen rain or shine. Be sure to check the weather forecast link to be prepared!
Where should I park?
There is a free parking lot on the north end of the Sunset Cultural Center. There is also free all-day street parking on any of Carmel’s streets south of 8th Avenue. There is also parking at the main Sunset Center parking lot on San Carlos Street, though please be aware of Special Events that might limit your parking abilities there.
What happens if I cancel my booking?
Unfortunately, refunds in the event of a guest cancellation are not permitted. For private groups, additions are permitted up to the day-of the tour but unfortunately reductions in numbers cannot be refunded unless made within a week of the confirmed tour date.
